Story
After being defeated by Mega Man, Dr. Wily sends eight of his older Robot Masters after Mega Man, as well as a new "Mega Man Killer" robot named Enker, in another scheme for world domination. Mega Man must defeat these robots and foil Dr. Wily's plans once again.
Gameplay
Gameplay is similar in structure to the NES Mega Man titles: players are able to pick from eight stages in any order and must defeat the Robot Masters at the end, gaining their weapons to use in other stages. Although there are eight Robot Masters, they are divided into two groups: at the beginning the player must face four robots from the original Mega Man, and after defeating them the player is taken to another screen where they can choose from four Robot Masters from Mega Man 2.
