''Stretchmo'' retains the same puzzle gameplay as the previous installments. Players must solve puzzles, called "Stretchmo", by pulling and pushing on parts of the stage in order to reach the goal, while also at points avoiding obstacles. Players can also rewind at any point. The new mechanic for this game comes in the form of being able to stretch each part in addition to pushing and pulling. Like with pulling, players can only stretch a section out two blocks' length.

Gameplay

Stretchmo retains the same puzzle gameplay as the previous installments. Players must solve puzzles, called "Stretchmo", by pulling and pushing on parts of the stage in order to reach the goal, while also at points avoiding obstacles. Players can also rewind at any point. The new mechanic for this game comes in the form of being able to stretch each side in addition to pushing and pulling. Like with pulling, players can only stretch a section out two blocks' length.

After completing the tutorial courses in the Welcome Center, four packs of courses become available for purchase, either individually or as a bundle:

  • Mallo's Playtime Plaza: $4.99; a set of easy stages where Mallo has to rescue the children trapped inside the Stretchmo
  • Poppy's Sculpture Square: $2.99; a set of stages designed after various objects, featuring Poppy as the playable character
  • Corin's Fortress of Fun: $2.99; a set of more difficult courses starring Corin, as well as featuring various enemies that could defeat the player and reset their rewind function
  • Papa Blox's NES Expo: $2.99; a set of stages based upon characters from the NES era, featuring a playable Papa Blox

Finally, by purchasing and completing all four stage packs, a fifth set of even more difficult stages becomes available, known as The Perilous Peak, which features a combination of expert challenges, murals and even stages based on characters from the NES era.

By purchasing at least one pack, players are able to access the Stretchmo Studio, in which players can create their own Stretchmo and post it as a QR code or download other players' Stretchmo to play. The stage tools available, however, are limited unless players purchase every course pack:

  • Purchasing Poppy's Sculpture Square unlocks sticker decorations that can be placed onto the sides of various blocks
  • Purchasing Corin's Fortress of Fun allows players to add enemies to stages
  • Purchasing Papa Blox's NES Expo unlocks stickers based on various assets from the NES games, such as the Warp Pipe sprite from Super Mario Bros.

Also available is the Help Center, in which players can view gameplay tutorials or extra content, or adjust their game settings.
