Kuruma de DS (meaning: DS in the Car) is Japan-only Nintendo DS software to be used with car navigation systems using bluetooth. The game was designed with long drives and traffic jams in mind, to make them less boring.
Content
Gameplay adjusts as the player drives, similar to the eventual games such as Pokémon GO for smart devices. Kuruma de DS is designed to be used directly with a GPS, such as ECLIPSE AVN-ZX02i[citation needed]
, in Toyota's Estima Hybrid minivan. Using it and a Nintendo DS, players can control the mapping system.[1]. The software also includes Miis. In Kuruma de DS, characters provide local quizzes (ご当地クイズ), hand-drawn map notes, and tourist information. It also features voice synthesis similar to the game Tomodachi Collection.
