- February 12, 2016 - Nintendo of America have announced that 12 titles (consisting of four Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U games each) will be re-released as Nintendo Selects titles on March 11.
- February 3, 2016 - Nintendo have outlined plans for the launch of Miitomo, and with it the Nintendo Account and My Nintendo services.
- January 29, 2016 - Nintendo have announced that Wii Street U will be discontinued on March 31, 2016.
- January 6, 2016 - Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo World Store in New York City will be closing for renovations on January 19, and will be reopening February 19 under the new name "Nintendo NY".
- December 3, 2015 - The Nintendo Account service is launched in Japan.
- November 24, 2015 - The Wii U GamePad was officially released as an individual product in Japan.
