Wii Channels are the icons/'splash screens' on the Wii Home Menu and the software contained within them. Specifically, they may refer to non-game software. Some Wii Channels must be downloaded through the Internet, however others such as the Mii Channel are pre-loaded on the console by default.

There is one Disc Channel for physical Game Discs, while downloadable games have individual icons.
