Kirby & The Amazing Mirror is a game in the Kirby series released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. It is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that largely follows up on a similar gameplay to its predecessor Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, but featuring several interconnected rooms similar to the Metroid games that allow Kirby to pick his own path.

ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOUR KIRBY!
The Mirror World has been invaded by an evil shadow, and Kirby's got to save the day! Fortunately, he won't have to go it alone. He's been split into four Kirbys of different colors, and with his trusty cell phone, he can call up his colorful clones to lend a hand!
The Mirror World, which exists in the skies of Dream Land, has been invaded by an evil shadow and Kirby's the only one who can save the day! Fortunately, he won't have to go at it alone.
He's been split into four Kirbys of different colors, and he can call up his colorful clones to lend a hand when needed. Summon Red, Yellow, and Green Kirby to help you solve puzzles, fight enemies, or take out the big baddies. Use copy abilities such as the arrow-shooting Cupid Kirby or the melee master Smash Kirby, while platforming through the maze-like world.
Need a break from the action? Try a hand at minigames such as Crackity Hack and Kirby's Wave Ride, which also star our favorite pink hero and friends!
Story
At the beginning of the game's story, the Mirror World needs help as a shadowy figure unleashes chaos on it, with Meta Knight flying towards the Dimension Mirror to investigate. Meanwhile a dark doppelganger also sets upon Kirby while he was on a stroll in Dream Land and attacks him, splitting him into four different-colored copies. The Kirbys eventually pursue this darker Meta Knight Clone into the Mirror World, and they find that the real Meta Knight was defeated and trapped in the Dimension Mirror, with its shards scattered across the Mirror World by his dark clone.
The Kirbys venture across nine areas of the Mirror World in search of the shards of the Dimension Mirror, with them having occasional encounters with Shadow Kirby, a dark clone of Kirby. By defeating the bosses guarding the shards of each area, the Kirbys eventually reform the Dimension Mirror and proceed to enter it to find Meta Knight. The Kirbys run into two Meta Knights, with the real one pointing at his dark impostor, revealing himself to be Dark Meta Knight. After a long-fought duel with the Kirbys, Dark Meta Knight is defeated and is shattered into pieces, but the Kirbys are also sucked into a vortex, with Meta Knight tossing in his sword to help. One of the Kirbys picks up the Master sword and they face off against Dark Mind, the true mastermind of the game.
After Dark Mind's defeat, peace is restored to the Mirror World. The Kirbys fly back home as Shadow Kirby (otherwise known as "Mirror-world Kirby") sees them off, having revealed to be a protector of the Mirror World. Meta Knight also passes by the hub of the game and drops his sword by the Dimension Mirror, as the game ends.
Gameplay
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror largely features the same 2D side-scrolling gameplay and physics engine as its predecessor Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, however its various areas are split into interconnected rooms instead of stages, making its progression largely similar to that of the Metroid series. As a result, Kirby can pick his own path and explore different rooms, oftentimes leading him to treasure chests, Big Switches that connect areas back to the main hub, and even boss battles that guard Mirror Shards.
Another main focus of the game is its own multiplayer co-op mode, with up to 4 players. Each player controls a different-colored Kirby independent from one another, and can call each other using their own Cell Phone to help assist in solving puzzles and defeating bosses. Three Sub-Games can also be played with up to 4 players, with them being Speed Eaters, Crackity Hack, and Kirby Wave Ride. If there are any Kirbys that aren't controlled by any player, they will be controlled by a CPU instead.
While there are a number of returning enemies and Copy Abilities from Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, there are some newly-introduced enemies to be fought, with some granting new abilities when swallowed. Among these include the Cupid ability, which allows Kirby to hover with wings and fire arrows at enemies, while the Smash ability gives Kirby his moveset from Super Smash Bros. Melee. Additionally, the various treasures that can be collected in the game allow the player to replay songs and sound effects via the Sound Player, customize Kirby's color with Spray Paints, and even increase Kirby's maximum health.

Cameos
- Introduced in this game is Smash, a Copy Ability that allows Kirby to attack with his moveset from Super Smash Bros. Melee, including the use of "Twinkle Star", his neutral aerial attack from the same game.
- Additionally, this Copy Ability can be obtained by defeating and swallowing the Mid-Boss Master Hand, who also originates from the Super Smash Bros. series of games.
- Master Hand and Crazy Hand from the Super Smash Bros. series also appear as the boss of Area 9: Candy Constellation, attacking in a similar fashion to their home appearances.
