Gameplay
Players must defend the core of their station from attacking robots by taking control of cameras using the Wii U GamePad and shooting them away. The Wii U GamePad displays a map of the facility, while the TV screen displays twelve live security feeds, the currently active feed being displayed in the center. When a robot approaches, the player must tap the appropriate camera on the Wii U GamePad to switch to that feed in order to blast the oncoming enemy. By scanning a Fox or Falco amiibo before a mission the player can, once during that mission, call in Star Fox team for an airstrike that eliminates all enemies on the screen[1].
When playing online, the player will be pitted against another player to either invade or defend a base. While the defending player plays as normal, the invading player uses the Wii U GamePad to set up where and how the robots will attack.
