Pikipedia is a wiki for information pertaining to the Pikmin franchise. Having only one consonant difference, its name resembles that of Wikipedia closely, while still retaining the first part of the word "Pikmin". Pikmin Fanon is considered to be a sister wiki to Pikipedia.
History
Pikmin Wiki was originally created by Dark Lord Revan on December 3, 2005, using the Wikia platform.
In 2010, decisions made by the Wikia staff (primarily the forced change to a new layout), caused a number of wikis to move their content to independent servers. Both Pikmin Wiki and Pikcanon-NOT moved to an independent server hosted by Super Mario Wiki founder Porplemontage, and was opened on September 14, 2010, under the new names of Pikipdia and Pikmin Fanon. Both wikis later became the seventh and eighth NIWA members simultaneously on October 8, 2010.
Users of the still-active Pikmin Wiki on Wikia later approached Pikipedia in July 2014. After some discussion, it was decided that Pikmin Wiki would merge its content and community into Pikipedia.
