A Nintendo DS Option Pak resembles a Game Boy Advance Game Pak but is designed exclusively for the bottom section of an original Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite system.

If the player attempts to load it as a game, they will not be able to select it and will instead receive a message that there is an Option Pak inserted. This message can sometimes also appear if the cartridge is read incorrectly.

An example of a Nintendo DS Option Pak is the Daigassou! Band Brothers Tsuikakyoku Cartridge.
