Metroid Wiki is an independent wiki encyclopedia and NIWA member whose coverage focuses on the Metroid series.
History
The idea for Metroid Wiki began on the Zelda Informer forums as an idea for a full-fledged sister website, which would have been known as "Metroid Informer". The wiki was founded on January 27, 2010, by Nathanial Rumphol-Janc, and was launched to the public on February 9.
On May 29, 2010, Metroid Wiki joined NIWA, exactly one week after WiKirby, and was followed by Wars Wiki a week later.
In April of 2012, ownership of the wiki was passed on to Prod. Procyon would later join as co-owner in May.
