Metroid Dread is an upcoming main-series Nintendo Switch game for Nintendo Switch. It was revealed at E3 2021.[1]
It shares the same name as the cancelled Nintendo DS game. Since then Eurogamer has confirmed in an interview with Yoshio Sakamoto that this indeed effectively a continuation of the cancelled game, of which "graphical power, hardware capability" and the involvement of MercurySteam as a contributor (previously from Metroid: Samus Returns) have played a role in its revival.[2]
