Pikmin Fanon is an independent wiki and NIWA member with content based around the Pikmin franchise. Unlike other NIWA wikis, Pikmin Fanon to date is the only member wiki based around hosting fan content rather than covering the official source material. Pikmin Fanon is considered to be the sister site to Pikipedia.

History

The original Pikcanon-NOT wiki was a Wikia wiki founded on November 1, 2008, by Rocky0718.

On September 14, 2010, Pikcanon-NOT separated from Wikia due to a forced layout change. Both Pikmin Wiki and Pikcanon-NOT moved their content to independent servers hosted by Super Mario Wiki owner Porplemontage. The wikis would then join NIWA simultaneously as the seventh and eighth members on October 8, 2010.
