- October 1, 2020 - In a short downloadable fighter presentation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Steve from the Minecraft series is revealed as an upcoming fighter, with Alex, a Zombie and an Enderman as alternative costumes.
- September 3, 2020 - In celebration of the Super Mario series' 35th anniversary, a commemorative Nintendo Direct was posted that announced promotional events, merchandise, and new games such as Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Super Mario Bros. 35, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
- August 5, 2020 - Pikmin 3 Deluxe is announced. It is planned for October 30, 2020.
- July 14, 2020 - The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System toy is announced via Nintendo's YouTube channel.

Pokémon Gold Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター金 Pocket Monsters Kin, literally Pocket Monsters Gold) and Pokémon Silver Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター銀 Pocket Monsters Gin, literally Pocket Monsters Silver) were the fifth and sixth Pokémon games released, beginning the second generation of the Pokémon series.
Developed as a sequel to Pokémon Red and Green, Gold and Silver expanded the Pokémon world westward into the region of Johto, where 100 Pokémon not appearing in the earlier games could be found.
