Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a competitive party game based upon the Nintendo World Championships competitions, developed by indieszero for the Nintendo Switch and released in July 2024.
In most regions, the game was released as both a digital download and in a physical "Deluxe Set" that includes a set of collectable pins and a set of art cards depicting the covers of the included NES titles; the North American and European Deluxe Sets also include a replica gold NES Game Pak with the game's logo based on the Game Paks given to winners of the original event, while the Japanese set includes the Nintendo Switch Famicom Controllers.[1][2][3]

Development
Days prior to the game's announcement, Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition was accidentally leaked by a ratings page posted on the ESRB website.[4] The game would be officially announced with a release date on May 8, 2024.[1]
