The Legend of Zelda (working title) is an upcoming installment in The Legend of Zelda series for Wii U. The game was initially revealed with a 2015 release window, but was delayed indefinitely due to new ideas being implemented during development. Like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds before it, the game is intended to challenge the conventions of the series.
Gameplay
The game is the first fully open-world game in The Legend of Zelda series since the original title. Link is able to travel anywhere in the world, either by foot or on Epona. The Wii U GamePad displays an overview of the world, and tapping a location on the map places a beacon at that spot on the television screen. Jumping off of Epona also allows the player to enter a slow-motion state and shoot arrows. Enemies are also given a health bar.
