Splatoon is a series of third-person shooter games, featuring cartoon anthropomorphic squid-like characters called Inklings, who can transform into squids and travel in ink matching the color of their turf. Inklings compete in Turf Wars, where they try to fill the area with the most ink of their color, while taking damage if they touch another turf's color.
