Xeno is a franchise of role-playing games spanning three different series, created by Tetsyua Takahashi and developed by Monolith Soft.

The series originally began with Xenogears and was planned to be six parts, but was ultimately never developed past the first game due to the developers leaving Square Enix, who held legal rights to the game. The team then formed Monolith Soft and, under Namco, developed the Xenosaga series, also planned to be six parts but cut short after the third. Monolith Soft was later bought by Nintendo and made a first-party developer, leading to them developing the Xenoblade series.
