Creatures, Inc. is a Nintendo/The Pokémon Company affiliate. It was originally founded as Ape Inc. on March 1989, before changing its name to Creatures, Inc. in 1995.

It is responsible for various Pokémon merchandise, and as Ape, Inc. was also responsible for the conception of the EarthBound series.

Cancelled Toto[2][3] ??? Ape ??? Described as similar to the later Pokémon, and would involve using the Game Boy like an insect cage to be filled with creatures the player owns (a similar feature to store Chaliens is in Creatures' later released game Chee-Chai Alien). May also be related to the cancelled 64DD Game Cabbage, with the Game Boy "insect cage" keeping animals from Cabbage inside.[4]
