War has engulfed the land of Tellius, where human beorc and half-human laguz view each other with mistrust. When a surprise invasion triggers a worldwide conflict, a sinister force emerges from the shadows and pits the two against one another. Only a young mercenary named Ike and his small band of soldiers-for-hire stand between Tellius and madness.
Story
When the country of Daein, led by the mad King Ashnard, invades its neighboring country, Crimea, disaster breaks loose. The royal family of Crimea is completely wiped out, save for the young Princess Elincia. When Ike and his company find Elincia wandering in the forest, they take her back to their mercenary fort to take care of her. After she explains her situation, the company decides to work under her employment until she can return to her country. The group travels around the whole continent of Tellius, gathering supporters of their cause and growing in strength. After a long journey, Ike and company take over Nevassa, the capital of Daein, only to find that Ashnard had since moved to Melior, the capital of Crimea. The party continues until they reach Ashnard, finally putting him in his place, and reinstating Elincia as queen of Crimea.
