Gameplay
The game is mostly based on the original Nintendo GameCube version of the game. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Link can equip up to three items to the X, Y, and L buttons, while R is used to talk with Midna. Also similar to The Wind Waker HD is that the Wii U GamePad screen is used for the player's inventory and map.
The game is confirmed to make use of amiibo. By scanning the Wolf Link amiibo, the player is able to access a brand new dungeon exclusive to this version. In addition, any data saved on the Wolf Link amiibo can be transferred to The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, though what this data is is unknown.
