The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is a high-definition remaster of the Nintendo GameCube and Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD before it, while the game's models and geometry are untouched, the game's textures have been mostly redone to make the game look cleaner for a native 1080p resolution.
At release, special bundle copies of the game will be available featuring a Wolf Link amiibo, with the game's soundtrack as a preorder bonus.
Gameplay
The game is mostly based on the original Nintendo GameCube version of the game. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Link can equip up to three items to the X, Y, and L buttons, while R is used to talk with Midna. Also similar to The Wind Waker HD is that the Wii U GamePad screen is used for the player's inventory and map.
The game is confirmed to make use of amiibo; players can use either the Wolf Link amiibo or the Super Smash Bros. amiibo for any of The Legend of Zelda characters. Any data saved on the Wolf Link amiibo can be transferred to The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, though what this data is is unknown. Using the The Legend of Zelda character figures gives the player items or hearts, or, in the case of Ganondorf, makes the game more difficult.
