The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a video game first released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. It was developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo and was the first and only game in the Zelda series to be released for the SNES.
Between December 1, 1997-May 29, 2000, the game was also broadcast exclusively to Japan with the now discontinued Satellaview service.
The game was later re-released as part of the Game Boy Advance game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords and ported to the Wii's Virtual Console in 2006.
