Toru Osawa is a Nintendo employee, formally a member of Team Shikamaru of Nintendo Research & Development 1. He is a scenario/story writer, producer, director and supervisor/helper for many Nintendo games.

Toru Osawa is also known as a creator of the Kid Icarus series.
