Mario Co., Ltd was a jointly owned business between Nintendo and Dentsu (51% owned by Nintendo and 49% owned by Dentsu), founded by Hiroshi Ikeda (also the founder of Monegi, a joint-venture between Nintendo and Hudson Soft).[1]

During the 1990s, Nintendo also worked with Dentsu for the Nintendo & Dentsu Game Seminar. Later the Dentsu name was dropped and it became the Nintendo Game Seminar.
