Nintendo System Development (SDD), formally Nintendo Network Business & Development (NBD), Nintendo Network Service Development (NSD) and Nintendo Special Planning & Development (SPD) are a division of Nintendo responsible for networking (e.g. for the Satellaview, Mobile System GB and Nintendo Network), as well as particular unique devices like the Nintendo DS Slide Controller (Nintendo DS mouse), Pokémotion (afterimage Pokémon series toy/game). In addition to this, they are responsible for Pokémon mini games and the Picross NP series (for the Nintendo Power game distribution service).
In 2015, it merged with Nintendo Integrated Research & Development (IRD), and collectively they are known as Nintendo Platform Technology Development. (PTD)
