Revision as of 10:03, 5 October 2022 by Torchickens (talk | contribs) (Torchickens moved page Mario Co., Ltd to Mario Co., Ltd.)
Mario Co., Ltd was a jointly owned business between Nintendo and Dentsu (51% owned by Nintendo and 49% owned by Dentsu), founded by Hiroshi Ikeda (also the founder of Monegi, a joint-venture between Nintendo and Hudson Soft).[1]
During the 1990s, Nintendo also worked with Dentsu for the Nintendo & Dentsu Game Seminar. Later the Dentsu name was dropped and it became the Nintendo Game Seminar.
Works
- Hello Kitty World (Japanese remake of Balloon Kid with Hello Kitty/Sanrio licensed branding). The back of the box art states Mario Co., Ltd. were responsible for production, ASCII Corporation and Sanrio for marketing, and Character Soft (a subsidiary of Sanrio) for publishing the game.
