Pokémon Battle Chess is a series of Pokémon series themed chess and shogi-themed board games.
The first version was called Pokémon Battle Chess BW Version (Japanese: ポケモンバトルチェス ＢＷバージョン). It was themed on Pokémon Black and White Versions and released on December 26, 2011, with an accompanying Pokémon Battle Chess WEB (Japanese: ポケモンバトルチェス WEB) browser demo.
The game was succeeded by another version simply known as Pokémon Battle Chess (Japanese: ポケモンバトルチェス), released on May 18, 2012 as well as Pokémon Battle Chess W (Japanese: ポケモンバトルチェスＷ) on December 28, 2012.
