Pokémon HOME is an online Pokémon storage system. It is the successor to Pokémon Bank, with new support for Pokémon Sword and Shield and mobile use.
Gameplay
For the paid (premium) subscription, the game supports storing up to 200 boxes of Pokémon. Alternatively, there is also a "free plan" which supports storing up to 30 Pokémon in only one box. Pokémon from Pokémon Bank can be transferred up to Pokémon HOME, but cannot be transferred back. At present, not all Pokémon species and moves are available to use in Pokémon Sword and Shield, meaning that the unavailable Pokémon are locked in Pokémon HOME.
A National Pokédex is included in the software, with the mobile version documenting more information including a Pokémon's possible moves and abilities. Also included in the mobile version, players can access the Global Trading System (GTS) to trade a Pokémon (or up to three Pokémon with the premium subscription), perform a "Room Trade" or "Friend Trade" and receive Mystery Gifts with some bonus Pokémon being available both at the beginning of launching the mobile version (the Kanto starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle) and for reaching milestones.
