Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS features the same number of playable characters as Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, however, the selection of stages between the two are different, with more stages based on handheld games than the Wii U version.[5] Additionally, the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U version feature a different selection of trophies.[6]
