Next Level Games is a Canadian video game development studio, based in Vancouver. Founded in August of 2002, the studio is best known for its work with Nintendo.
As a result of the success they found with their Nintendo-based works, the company announced on January 9, 2014, that they would be working exclusively with the company for the foreseeable future.[1] On January 5, 2021, Nintendo announced that it had acquired the company after purchasing 100% of the shares from the comapny's owners, making Next Level Games a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo; the acquisition is expected to be finalized on March 1.[2]
