Poké Transfer is a tool in the Pokémon series to be used for Pokémon Black and White Versions as well as Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 Versions (Generation V games), which also serves as one of the DS Download Play exclusive games.
Gameplay
The software is meant to be used to transfer Pokémon from earlier Nintendo DS Generation IV Pokémon games, namely Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions, Pokémon Platinum Version, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions to the Generation V Pokémon games. After the release of Generation VI and up Pokémon games, these Pokémon can then be transferred to Pokémon Bank using the Poké Transporter.
It is also a small minigame where Pokémon jump around patches of grass and the player must catch them within a time limit, by throwing Poké Balls while they are vulnerable. The ability to use Poké Transfer is only unlocked after beating the story in the Generation V game, unlocking the National Pokédex and visiting the Poké Transfer lab.
