Sora Ltd. is a video game development company founded and owned by Masahiro Sakurai. Rather than developing their own video games, Sora is instead used to contract Sakurai for freelance work at other development studios.

History

After Masahiro Sakurai had left HAL Laboratory in 2003, he founded Sora in September of 2005.

In 2009, after the development of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo and Sora founded Project Sora, a new subsidiary for developing a new title by Masahiro Sakurai, eventually revealed to be Kid Icarus: Uprising. After development was completed, the subsidiary was disbanded.
