Battle Mii is a Wii U multiplayer tech demo based on the Metroid series, showcased at E3 2011.
The demo would be expanded upon and released as one of the attractions in Nintendo Land, titled Metroid Blast.
Gameplay
Two players, using a Wii Remote and Nunchuk, control two Miis in Power Suits similar to Samus Aran and act as a team, while the third player using the Wii U GamePad controls a Mii piloting the gunship, the goal being for each side to eliminate the other within three minutes. The two Miis have three hit points each, while the gunship has six.
The Gunship controls by using the left control stick to move, the right stick to fly up and down, and ZR to shoot using the gyroscope to aim. Meanwhile, the two players aim using the Wii Remote pointer, move using the Nunchuk's control stick, and press Z to enter Morph Ball mode, which allows for the use of teleporters. Each player may also hold down the fire button to charge a shot before firing.
At various points, players may find power-ups, which grant various abilities, such as a heart that recovers one hit point, or a shield.
