Pokédex 3D is a free, now discontinued downloadable Pokémon series application for Nintendo 3DS. It was succeeded by the paid, now discontinued software Pokédex 3D Pro.
Gameplay
The player is able to view up to 153 Pokémon from Pokémon Black and White's Unova Pokédex in 3D. This version does not include Pokémon outside of the Pokémon Black and White Unova Pokédex or Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect.
The Pokédex lists data including the Pokémon stats, moves, evolutions, movesets, heights/weights and Egg Groups. The game also includes stickers and an AR viewer. The player starts with 16 Pokémon in the Pokédex, and can unlock more Pokédex entries through SpotPass (three Pokémon daily; through an Internet connection, Sleep Mode and playing particular games), trading and scanning AR Markers. Originally certain Pokémon could not be obtained through SpotPass, but this was updated in August 2012 so that all Pokémon can be obtained this way.
