1-UP Studio Inc. (1-UPスタジオ株式会社), formerly Brownie Brown Inc. (株式会社ブラウニー・ブラウン), is a Nintendo-funded video game developer based in Tokyo, Japan. The studio was initially founded in 2000 by former Square employees, and is best known for its collaborative efforts with Nintendo. In 2013, founders Shinichi Kameoka and Kōji Tsuda would leave 1-UP Studio to form Brownies later that year.
