Mario Golf is a Nintendo 64 game. in the "Golf" sub-series of the Super Mario series, and the first game to have "Mario Golf" in its title. The game features support for the Game Boy Color version using the Transfer Pak.
Gameplay
A golf game with a sliding bar mechanic, and other mechanics like wind, direction, rain, ball spin and different attributes for each character.
There are a variety of game modes, including a Tournament mode, Get Character mode (for unlocking characters), Ring Shot mode (shooting the ball through rings), Speed Golf (an 18 hole time trial), Stroke Play (a fewest total stroke challenge), Mini-Golf (similar to Stroke Play with miniature courses), Training, Match Player (a two player mode with computer players allowed), Skins Match (a points challenge for landing each hole), and Club Shots (a mode with randomised clubs similar to Skins Match).
The game features Mario as a playable character and other characters (not just Mario characters), including Plum, Charlie, Princess Peach, Baby Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Sonny, Wario, Harry, Maple, Donkey Kong, Bowser and Metal Mario.
