Mario Artist: Paint Studio is a Super Mario series game for the Nintendo 64DD, and the first game in the Mario Artist series. Some copies of the game were bundled with the Nintendo 64 Mouse.
Development[edit]
Mario Artist: Paint Studio was originally a game unrelated to the Super Mario series known as Creator.[1][2]
Gameplay[edit]
Like Mario Paint, the player can draw images. They can also play slideshows with music, and import RCA images using the AV-In Cartridge or Game Boy Camera. The player can have four player drawing sessions and make short animations. Similar to Pokémon Snap, the player can explore a variety of locations and take photographs. Based on a prototype of the game, a minigame similar to Gnat Attack was also planned during development, but removed from the final game.
