Wrecking Crew is a Nintendo Entertainment System game. It is the debut game in the Wrecking Crew series; a sub-series of the Mario series. Originally, it was released as part of the programmable series as well.
Summary
Mario (and Luigi) must demolish objects with a hammer in a playfield. Once the playfield is cleared, a new level begins. The player can move up and down ladders, and detonate bombs. Foreman Spike, Gotchawrench and Eggplant Man will sometimes appear to disrupt the player.
In Design Mode, the player can create their own stages. The Japanese version featured support for the Famicom Data Recorder. The later Wii Virtual Console release added back this compatibility, but not the Nintendo Switch Online release.
