Super Smash Bros. is a series of 2D platform fighting games. Created by Masahiro Sakurai during his time at HAL Laboratory, the games notably feature characters, stages, and other content based upon numerous Nintendo franchises. The game differs from most traditional fighting games in that players battle each other with the goal of knocking the others off of the stage first.
