Mario Artist: Talent Studio is a Super Mario series game for the Nintendo 64DD, and the second game in the Mario Artist series. It includes compatibility for the Nintendo 64 Mouse, and was bundled with an AV-In Cartridge.
Gameplay
The player can create characters who can be placed into different animations and movies. The player can customise these characters similar to the later released Miis, and with more options than the Mii Maker such as the character's voice and biography. It is also possible to take images from cameras/videos, create 3D models with them and animate them.
Cancelled spiritual successor
The Nintendo GameCube game Stage Debut was planned as a spiritual successor to this game, and would have been another title supporting avatars (note: avatars known as Miis were later introduced for the Wii, released after the Nintendo GameCube) however it was cancelled.
Trivia
- Totaka's Song can be used in animations.
